Club Dinner 2008/2009
The annual club dinner, usually held on one of the trips (traditionally while staying in EricsBarn), is where TheCommittee hand-over occurs. It's also where we give out the awards for the year.
The sign-up for the trip will be on Monday 23rd February from 13:30 - 14:30 in the K-Bar. The cost of the trip is £20.00, plus another £20.00 for the meal (to be given when you select your meal options, below).
The club dinner (meal) is £20.00 a head, plus a bit more for steak (detailed below). Drinks are obviously not included

Starters
- Homemade soup of the day (with crusty roll and butter)
- Smooth Patè (with toast and salad garnish)
- Prawn cocktail (with salad, brown bread and butter)
- Chicken goujons (with salad garnish and garlic mayonnaise)
- Fish goujons (with salad garnish and tartar sauce)
- Creamy garlic mushrooms (with toast)
- Smoked salmon (with brown bread and butter)
Mains
- Steaks (for the first three, served with baked tomato, mushroom and onion rings, with chips or new potatoes):
10oz Welsh Sirloin steak (plus £6.00)
10oz Welsh rump steak (plus £2.00)
10oz Welsh lamb steak (plus £2.00)
14oz gammon steak (plus £2.00, and served with egg and pineapple, instead of the above)
- Burgers:
- The Union burger and chips (with streaky bacon, flat mushrooms and cheese)
- 1/4 lb hamburger and chips (with salad garnish)
- 1/4 lb cheeseburger and chips (cheddar or stilton, with salad garnish)
- Other things (default with either chips or new potatoes):
- Homemade steak and ale pie (with prime beef, real ale and peas)
- Homemade curry of the day (with rice and naan bread)
- Three port and leek sausages (with mashed potato and onion gravy)
- Home cooked ham (with egg and pineapple)
- Homemade lasagne (with garlic bread and salad)
- Chicken disk of the day
- Wholetail Whitby scampi (with salad garnish and tartar sauce)
- Fresh cod in a beer batter (with tartar sauce and mushy peas)
- Vegetarian dishes:
- Freshly cooked mushroom stroganoff (with rice and salad)
- Homemade vegetarian lasagne (with garlic bread and salad)
- Three vetarian sausages (with mashed potato and onion gravy)
- Salads come in a variety of forms:
- Prawns with lemon dessing
- Home cooked ham
- Greek salad with feta cheese and olives
Puddings
- 3 scoops of dairy ice-cream vanilla, chocolate or strawberry
- Vanilla cheesecake with fruit coulis
- Chocolate fudge cake with cream or a scoop of vanilla ice-cream
- Crème brulee
- Homemade bread and butter pudding with custard
- Homemade fruit crumble and custard
